aims
The goal is to have established 1-Wall Fives in 200 schools in 20 inner London boroughs by 2012. The CFA will maintain an individual borough focus in each case. It will develop partnerships with Schools Sports Partnerships and Healthy Schools Partnerships to use School Sports Co-ordinators, Primary Link Teachers and Teach First participants to target teachers who are willing to introduce the sport into their schools.
The CFA plans to target the 20 boroughs in a series of three clusters. In each case, it will employ a three year borough strategy aiming to make each borough self-sustaining after three years. It does this by focusing on pupil participation, training staff and increasing the number of courts in each borough. Each year will see boroughs become less dependent on the CFA funding as more pupils play, more staff will be able to teach Fives and there are more courts for pupils to play on in their recreation time. By 2012 each of the 20 boroughs will be self-sufficient.
